Connecting Students and Musicians to Music Industry Leaders

Launched in January 2014 with special guests Darius Rucker and Cary Ann Hearst, IN THE MIX is an Arts Management-produced speaker series connecting musicians and students to music industry leaders. All IN THE MIX events are located at 54 Saint Philip St. in the Simons Center Recital Hall and begin at 6:30PM (unless noted otherwise).

October 15, 2018 - THE MUSIC MODERNIZATION ACT: COMPENSATION FOR CREATIVES IN THE AGE OF STREAMING

Charlotte Sellmyer from the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) joins us from Washington, D.C. to explain and analyze the recent legislation known as the Music Modernization Act.

November 12, 2018 - CELEBRATING MARK BRYAN

Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of the Arts Management Program will honor Mark Bryan for a decade of teaching and service to the College of Charleston at Mark's last session as host of IN THE MIX. (Note: This event will be held in the Sottile Theatre.)
