The College of Charleston offers a variety of scholarships and awards for both undergraduate and graduate students, including scholarships through the College's Alumni Association and local organizations, such as the Hibernian Society. Other awards include the ExCEL Awards and the School of the Arts Alumni Awards. Additional scholarship information is available through the Office of Financial Assistance and Veterans Affairs. Additionally, there are a few scholarships available specifically for undergraduate Arts Management students and School of the Arts students:

School of the Arts Merit Award in Arts Management
This prestigious award is granted on the basis of academic merit to an incoming first-year College of Charleston student who commits to declaring a major in Arts Management. The recipient will show academic and intellectual promise, possess strong leadership qualities, and demonstrate an intent to pursue a career in arts management. Students are eligible for funding if they have been accepted to the College of Charleston and are committed to enrolling in Fall 2024 as an Arts Management major and have demonstrated academic and intellectual promise specifically applicable to the field of Arts Management. The application deadline for the 2024-2025 academic year is January 31, 2024, though early applications are encouraged. See the application for further information and instructions.

Scott Shanklin-Peterson Arts Management Internship Stipend
Recipients must be Arts Management majors who are full time students, enrolled in ARTM 400 or ARTM 401 in the Fall or Spring, and have a demonstrated financial need. See the application for further information and instructions.

Student Travel Award
The Student Travel Award supports program-related travel for undergraduate Arts Management majors and graduate students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Arts and Cultural Management. This may include academic and professional conferences, in addition to professional programs (i.e. Arts Advocacy Day) and Arts Management faculty-led study abroad programs. The award does not include personal travel (i.e. job or informational interviews). See the application for further information and instructions.

Arts Management Summer Out-of-State Internship Tuition Stipend
Tuition assistance is available for Arts Management students completing for-credit internships (ARTM 400 or 401) outside of South Carolina during the summer term. Awards will be made on the basis of financial need, a personal statement, and estimated expenses related to the out-of-state internship. See the application for further information and instructions.

Grant Mayo Eney Endowed Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is made possible through generous donations of Parent Advisory Council members, and the friends and family of Grant Mayo Eney. Grant Eney knew no stranger and that was particularly true at the College of Charleston. He was loved, respected, and admired by all who knew him, and the impact he made on campus was tremendous. His ambition, loyalty, and tenacity made him a leader on campus and in the community. Candidates will be scored on their ability to articulate how they are compassionate towards others, ambitious, loyal, kind and resourceful. Grant exemplified these characteristics and was a gentleman who would have gone far in this world.

To qualify, a student must have a declared major in real estate, business administration or arts management, and have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. This is also a leadership scholarship, so the successful candidate should be actively involved on campus and/or in the community. The scholarship is renewable and will provide $1750 per year.

As of the 2023-2024 academic year, this scholarship is an "auto-match" award; if a student's information meets the scholarship requirements and application is automatically submitted by CSAS on the student's behalf. If a student is awarded an auto-match scholarship, it will become visible at that point. Please contact Jennifer Wilson, Assistant Director of Scholarships and Donor Relations, at jlwilson2@cofc.edu with any questions.
